South Star Vikram keen to work with Vishal Bharadwaj

You will be familiar with him through the Tamil-dubbed-in-Hindi Shankar’s ‘Aparichit’. One National Award, 3 Filmfare Awards for Best Actor, 2 Tamil Nadu State Awards…

And now we can see him debuting in Hindi in Mani Rathnam’s ‘Raavan’. Presenting you, actor Vikram, the Star of Tamil cinema! Vikram is one on the remarkable actor down South and his movies mostly have enjoyed success at the BO. In ‘Raavan’, he plays the role of Ram and husband of Aishwarya Rai, who is the Sita. Interestingly, in the Tamil version Vikram plays the hero as Raavan.

Now, with Bachchans on the shooting camp, Vikram had once met our Big B on the sets. Recalling the day, the actor had said, “We met on a very informal note. He said he had seen some of my films. I was thrilled to hear that he liked some of them.” Hmm, an esteemed compliment in his pocket already! So does that mean he is here to stay in B-town, we wonder? But the Southie Star doesn’t seem to have such plans, for he feels that the language might pose as a problem to him. (Arre yaar learn it na!) Anyway, Vikram wishes to work with our ‘Kaminey’ director Vishal Bharadwaj, if given a chance. Well, Vikram, Bollywood is waiting for your performance. All the Best!

The Hindi version features Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead. Vikram makes his Bollywood debut in this version; he will reprise the role done by Prithviraj in Tamil.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai is extremely happy for finally being able to act with Rajinikanth, who, according to her, is a family friend. Aishwarya Rai, while giving an interview in Gurgaon while inaugurating a boutique, said that she is enjoying acting with Rajinikanth. Vikram to dance with Shreya and Mumaith Khan

Vikram-starrer Kanthasamy is taking a long time to complete and yet it always pops up in the news for different reasons. A while ago, a song sequence shot in Mexico has attracted a lot of interest in the film. In this song based on the famous bullfights of Mexico, both Vikram and Shreya were dressed as matadors.

Now, the makers of Kanthasamy have decided to cash in on the item number frenzy in Indian films by roping in hot and sexy Mumaith Khan for a song. Moreover, it will also be a remix of an old hit (comedy actor Chandrababu's 'Pambarak Kannale Kadhal...'). Mumaith will shake a leg with Vikram in the song.

Kanthasamy is directed by Susi Ganesan, who had earlier directed films like Virumbugiren, Thiruttu Payale and Five Star.

The film already has the very hot Shreya as heroine. With Mumaith also appearing in an item number song, there is no doubt that the screen will be scorched by these two beauties. With so much to expect from the film, it is no wonder audiences are eagerly waiting for it to release.

Prithviraj plays the character with negative shades while actress Vasundhara stars him opposite in the female lead and Priyamani is the another heroine. A.R. Rahman is simultaneously working for this flick. Oh! We forgot to take on actually what we wanted to do. The Tamil version has been titled as 'Ashoka Vanam' and the Hindi version as 'Ravanaa'. It has been confirmed that it's the modern day adaption of Hindu epic Ramayana and remember earlier, he had adapted 'Mahabharatha' for Thalapathy.
